Islam & Greetings The Moorish Science Temple of America-1928 / Grand Temple #2 community has an active participant and supporter of various interfaith organizations in Atlanta Georgia. It is a welcome opportunity for our community to show a realistic view of Moorish American Moslems.
Too often we are seeing several Moorish American communities as well as those claiming be authentic Temples appearing uncouth and unkempt not only in dress but mannerisms. We have made it our sincere duty to represent our Prophet in the best of ways which includes the opportunity to showcase our faith and culture at the 7th annual “Taste of Faith”.
Our Moorish community has taken active participation with the “Taste of Faith” event for several years and has been quite popular among other religious groups and those in attendance. We take great pride in decorating our display table to host items of our faith and culture such as literature giving an historical account of Islam in America for a Moorish perspective; pictures of our Prophet Dew Ali, religious and cultural artifacts along with Moorish American styled cuisine. We certainly welcome anyone to attend, it is a family event that is a wonderful experience of anyone to be informed, educated and uplifted. The gathering is on Sunday, December 6th, 2015 @ 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at The Roswell Community Masjid, 345 Market Place, Roswell, GA 30075 which is again generously hosting the celebration.
This annual event provides an excellent gathering place for all members of Atlanta’s diverse faith communities to come together. To sample delicious dishes from diverse religious and cultural traditions and to engage and enjoy wonderful dialogue and fellowship. No reservations are required and there is no charge for attendance all are welcome.
